Trapped nerve???

Ok so I knew my gyn said my abdominal wall pain could be due to nerves but I didn't know until today that his theory is that it could be a trapped nerve and this is caused by the surgery. I found all of this out because I need a referral for pain management and had to go through my PCP to get it. He called my gyn and got all the answers he wanted and gave me the referral.

Has anybody had experience with a trapped nerve?

Trapped nerve???

Yep, I have. My nerve is trapped in scar tissue that formed following an infection in the right anterior abdominal wall.

Trapped nerve???

Wow!! Yeah my PCP says that it can become intertwined with adhesions or scar tissue. Right now I have to wait for my gyn to fax over my papers to the pain management doctor he wants me to see. If the girls at his office don't tell him that he needs to he will still get the message because I e-mailed him about it. He wasn't able to today because he's on cal at the hospital on Fridays and he does any surgeries that are sceduled on Fridays too.

I'm hoping I can get rid of some of these mysterious pains.
