15 days post op and started to bleed...anyone else...please advise

Hi Ladies: I am really quite worried. I am almost one month po from my tlh on 8-4-12. I started to bleed yesterday when I woke up. I went to the doctor and he did a pelvic. I bled more than. He said he thinks it was a clot (hematoma) that ruptured. he sent me for blood work and wants to see me in a week. Has anyone else had something like this happen. Thank you!

hannabella!

I'm sorry to hear you are going through this. I do not have any personal experience with this, but I know there are plenty of sisters here who have gone through the same thing.

It is common to bleed after this type of surgery, especially at the 2-5 week mark as this is when sutures are starting to dissolve. Apparently, your doesn't feel that is the cause. Here is an article about hematomas that you might find helpful.

I hope the bleeding stops very soon for you and I hope it is nothing serious.
