Re: Can't sleep
Hello There,
I am suffering from the inability to sleep as well, I had surgery Oct 1 too. I think I will start a journal to record when I do sleep. I am so tired of tossing and turning. I had everything removed. But fear HRT. I know the hot flashes are a factor. Looking for natural sleep remedies as well as natural menopause remedies. Sweet dreams to us.
P.S. Don't know if it is normal , but you're not sleepless alone. ; )

Re: Can't sleep
As a lot of you have discovered, insomnia is common after this surgery. I had the same thing after my surgery.
I totally understand your frustration. I love to sleep and here was my opportunity to sleep in, and no such luck. I would lie awake through out the night and only get short cat naps . It was very weird for me as I am someone who can sleep anywhere at any time. It finally sorted itself out after a couple of weeks. I think that the drugs they put into us for the surgery really throws things off for a while.
Here is our article on Dealing with Insomnia . There are quite a few ideas for you to try and get some sleep until your body sorts itself out.
I hope this helps.

Re: Can't sleep
Thank you for the link and I love your use of smilies
One thing that I found helpful, along with a light snack, was the addition of Calm powder & magnesium foot soaks. I also take my kindle & it's light with me to bed and read for a while (until my eyes stop focusing) and read if I wake up in the middle of the night.
