Post-Op Questions DH should ask?

I appreciate this site and all the posts. I will pre-op tomorrow and hyst on Tuesday. I have my list of Pre-Op qustions to ask the DR tomorrow. My husband wants me to make him a list of questions he should ask the DR when he comes out of the surgery. Any ideas?

He will want to ask how long you are expected to be in the PACU (post anesthetic care unit). My DH said that when I had my anti-reflux surgery last nov. that he wished he would've asked that... he was not allowed to see me until I came out of the PACU.... and of course, "how did it go/did it goes as planned?"

My DH said the waiting for me to get out of the PACU was the worst... we will be at a different hospital for my surgery on the 20th... we've been wondering if things will go the same... I would assume all hospitals are different though.... sorry I tend to ramble a lot

I thought of another ? you might want to add: "what type of meds will you be on"

my DH is planning on staying the night w/me at the hospital, you might want to ask if that's possible at your pre-op (if he is wanting to)... we don't know if he can or not, but we'll be asking

Again, thank you for information. The nurse told me at my last appointment that the Castle I will be at has only private rooms and dh will be able to stay with me. I'm sure the waiting will be the worst for him, just as your dh said.
