Hoping that after LAVH the pain is gone

I'm having my surgery on Friday and I'm kind of nervous, but I can't stand this PAIN anymore. Every single month for the past 3-4 years I have horrible pain. My pain is the WORST the first day of my period. Then it comes and goes until about the day of ovulation (anywhere from day 10 to 12). Then I have 2 good weeks. Perfect weeks. Then the first day of my period (day 27-28) it starts all over again. The pain that first day is so bad I throw up. I can't get comfortable and I'm so tired. I don't bleed a lot like a lot of women. Last year my ultrasound showed a simple cyst and fibroids and this year a complex cyst and fibroids. I'm so sick of this pain I could scream. The doc wanted to try a Mirena IUD, and mentioned Lupron, etc., but I told her I just want this stuff OUT OF ME. Anyway. Right now I am on day 5 of my cycle and in pain...not horrid like the first day, but it is bad and it feels like it is right in that area where that complex cyst must be. (Right ovary area). The only thing that seems to help is four 200 mg ibupforen tables along with 2 extra strength Midol. But I have to keep taking it. My surgery papers say not to take ibuprofen, but I just took some, I can't stant this. I pray that after this surgery, this pain is GONE.

Please let your dr know that you took the ibuprofen. Not to do so could cause reactions or complictions for you during surgery. Please don't take risks with your health. S/he needs to know what to expect; that's why we get the lists of what we can and cannot take prior to surgery.

I'm sending lots of good wishes that you can proceed as planned and will have a pain-free future
