TAH on Feb 13, doing GREAT!!

YEA!! I feel like I am almost back 100%!!! This has been a GREAT week!!

In the beginning...I had a TAH on Tuesday Feb 13, home on Thursday, off pain meds on Saturday. Walked (slowly) around Home Depo on Sunday.

~6 days post op had lunch with my Realtors & City Council Meeting at 6:30 pm.
~7 days post op went to the office for 4 hours.
~8 days post op went to the office, wore heals (big mistake) and went on listing appointment at 7:00 pm. That was a l-o-n-g day.
~9 days post op took the day off. Ouch!

I've gradually increased the amount of hours at the office.

Now...I wake at 7:00 am, take my daughter to school, get dressed, go to the office around 10:00. Work till 4:00 or 5:00 and then listing appointments in the evenings.

For a whole month the only thing I've done was worked and rested.

This week I attended a ribbon cutting for a new business in my community (my first outing other than work, it felt SO good).

Also this week...walked on my treadmill, held a sales meeting, had "outer" course (YEA!! it still works!!), had another listing appointment, bought some new clothes.

Don't get me wrong, I've had some ups and many downs and have often wondered if I would EVER get my "mojo" back.

Now I KNOW this has all been worth it!

Those of us who are 4 weeks post op are also 4 weeks past our periods!! It feels GREAT doesn't it?? YEA!!

Hang in there Sisters! Love ~ Kathy

I am right there with you Sister! Get some "Go Easy" or "Smooth Move" tea. It tastes GREAT and works like wonders, I promise! I was having some every evening, but now that things are back to semi-normal, I take it a couple of times a week. Ahhhh, relief in the morning!

Hang in there, I care...

Wow, I'm envious! I'm back to 100% related to the healing process, but I'm seriously dealing with exhaustion being back to work. I have an office job, and basically collapse when I return home.

I'm actually going to my PCP's office this morning, to request some blood work, to check out my iron levels. I had severe anemia going into the hospital prior to my surgery, but I was not feeling this exhausted after working with the severe anemia. I realize that my body is still healing deep down inside, which is probably causing the exhaustion, but I'm a total witch, with very little patience at work. I'm also going to ask for my hormone levels to be checked out, just to see if those darn ovaries are under-producing. I really would like to stay employed....
