Hi,

This is the third time trying to post here....my DH's laptop and the connection is giving me fits. We are using the castle's internet connection......Anyway....I had my surgery yesterday, April 9 and it went well. I was able to keep my cervix and ovaries. but there was a small complication, and as a result, I will be wearing a cath for a few weeks.

The fibroid was large, all along the uterus wall, which in turn the uterus was against the bladder. The doctor believes he nicked it when he was getting the uterus and fibroid out since they are so close. He was able to repair it but wants me to use the cath for a few weeks to be on the safe side. There was very little bleeding, which he was happy about.

I have been given several pain meds through shots, but they made me nauseous. They gave me anti-nausea meds to help. So they ended up putting me on another med through a pill form. I was able to keep the ice chips down so this morning I was put on a liquid diet. The diet consisted of apple juice, jello, and chicken broth and went down ok, but later I felt a bit nauseous and they gave me some meds to help with that.

I had my DH post last night even though I know that is a no no, but I wanted you all to know I came through it and all. I apologize and please do not hold it against the DH.

Thank you hystersisters for being there for me.

Stephanie
