Question for TVH post op ladies

I have done something really silly and had a look at some graphic pictures of a TVH operation. I am now really scared about a range of things and need to ask what might appear to be a silly question but I need answers.

Did you feel that the opening of the vagina was larger or stretched after the operation and after recovery?

Will my vagina be it's normal size again? I have never had a child, and things are nice and tight.

I'm sorry for the silly (sounds selfish) question but the pictures showed the vagina opened very wide and I am really worried.

My DH couldn't believe I did something so dumb to look at those pictures.........learn from my mistake and don't do it.

Question for TVH post op ladies

I'm only a few days post-op from my TVH, but from other posts I've read women usually say the vaginal opening is smaller/tighter especially if they've had children. I've taken a hand mirror & looked at myself down there & I'm still really swollen, but from what I can tell the opening already looks smaller! I'm sure that will make my husband happy! LOL!

Question for TVH post op ladies

I'm pretty sure mine is smaller too. I've had 2 kids and I had anterior and posterior repairs done, which affects the vaginal size too. The vagina is very stretchy and adaptable, so I think it can "snap back" into shape after a TVH.

Question for TVH post op ladies

I am 8 wks post op TVH. In my experience, things are tighter, but then I think there is still some swelling going on. This is the only change that DH has mentioned. Best of luck to you.

Question for TVH post op ladies

I am happy to report that all is well. I am 7 weeks, and the "test drive" went just fine! I guess it is similiar to after having a baby. The human body is amazing, things seem to have shrunken back in place. No other difference whatsoever, and EVERYTHING WORKS!

I am really glad I had the surgery, wish I had done it much sooner!

Good luck, take it easy for the recuperation period.

Everything will snap back into place, I have had two children and I had the same worries. My husband does not notice any difference.

Question for TVH post op ladies

No questions are silly. I had a TVH and I have never had children. Don't know what you saw, but I can tell you, I am 3 weeks post op and all is back to normal. I never peeked at pictures and I still wonder what they did. No I don't want to know, but I still wonder.

Hugs,
chell
