Hysterectomy: July 14th, 2010

Coughing

I am 4 days post op and have the need to cough up phlegm and it hurts too much. Any suggestions? I also still have pain, trouble moving around and a bloated belly. Have a catheter I. As well because I couldn't empty my bladder completely. That is being taken out tomorrow and I'm nervous about having the same problem.

Hold a pillow on your tummy and try to cough lightly. It will help. Helped with my 2 c-sections and now with my LAVH. Hope this helps.
