Back home from TVH- Not so bad!

I got home last nite (Wednesday) from Tuesday's surgery. I had my TVH at 7:45 AM, was out of recovery and in my room by 11:30. No pain, just pressure. In the recovery room I just remember feeling like I had to pee real bad. They gave me demerol in recovery and Toradol and Percoset in my room. I came home with Motrin and Percoset and orders to do nothing for the next two weeks until I see my doctor. I can honestly say I am not in pain. I had a good hospital experience, great care and am happy to be home. I kept my ovaries and had my TVH due to fibroids and abnormal bleeding. I am 51YO and glad this is finally over. I already feel better than I did pre-op. Good luck to everyone whose day is coming up!

Hi Gr8fulmare,

I am so glad you are home and your surgery went so smoothly. Be sure and drink lots of water, take short slow and get lots of so your recovery will go quick and easy.

Remember that the Post Op forum is waiting for you. They have plenty of tea, hugs and encouragement for your recovery.

s,
Kay

Good luck to everyone's upcoming surgery. I know it has been said before, but the wait and anticipation is so much worse than the surgery!
