Wow Six Weeks Post Op

Hi all i thought i would come and share my experiences. It has been six weeks since my operation and things are getting back to normal.

I am in no pain, which considering i have been in solidly for the last how ever many years is an amazing feeling. I do tend to over do things and apart from driving again basically my life in all ways is back to normal.

After 2 years finally my husband and myself have been able to be intimate, although i do have to admit i was a little worried after what i have read before but there was no problem at all.

I really feel as though i have been given a second chance at life, and the cancer is definantly gone so i am going to take each day with both hands and embrace it

Re: Wow Six Weeks Post Op

That is amazing Chrissy you give me home about the intimacy with the hubs. It has almost been four weeks and I am nervous as heck. I kinda did things on my own and had no pain when it happened. But I am terrified actually of trying. Because it hurt so badly before. You give me some hope..

HUGS to you and super glad things worked out well in that department.

So glad to hear you are doing so well and that you are Cancer freeeeeeeeee!!!
Yay for the intimacy with your hubby! Thanks for sharing that.

Continue to take care of "you"................

countrylace........All of us Sisters are a bit nervous and apprehensive!! Me included.
Do it when you "know" it's right for you.
I'm 6 weeks postop--tomorrow--and have chosen to wait 2-4 more weeks. I feel awesome but I want to wait.

Happy healing everyone..............

Re: Wow Six Weeks Post Op

I know doc said I'm released at 6 weeks for sex but I'm just 2 days away and still having some kind of deep throbby pain inside. My peri area is still somewhat sore but that's getting better. I've lost some stitches this week and hope that the sore spots will be better soon. I've not had good sex with my husband in several years and I'm hoping that part will improve tremendously.

Re: Wow Six Weeks Post Op

There has been so little intimacy with my husband for many years now also as if i were not bleeding excessively the pain was so intense that i was unable to move.

I was very nervous when it came to being intimate with my husband as it was not only the worry of the pain but the " Is this finally happening". It was like being in a new relationship in that respect.

As mentioned every one needs to do as they feel right, as the specialists will give you a guide time to do things and where some feel right doing little things other take that bit longer but it is excellent to have so many people to share this with who truly understand

Thank you

Chrissy xx
