pre-op chest x-ray, etc.

OK guys, I'm down to 10 days to go & now I'm imagining everthing that can go wrong. I had my chest X-ray today & to my ignorant eyes it looked like a small quarter moon size at the bottom of one of my lungs looked slightly cloudy. I've been taking antibiotics for a sinus infection & feel 95% over it but now I'm worrying. Has anyone had their surgery rescheduled for a minor sinus infection? I have no cough but I don't know what a normal X-ray looks like. I guess I'm extra worried because my wonderful doctor is moving away & If I don't have surgery next week I'll be starting all over with a new doctor. Also, can a small yeast infection mess up a CBC blood test? Thanks for any help!!

Hi tabbycat,

None of us can answer your specific questions, but I do want to send you a couple of 's.

Is the doctor performing your surgery the same one who prescribed the antibiotic? And is he aware of your yeast infection? Since you're got 10 days till surgery, everything will probably be all cleared up by then, but to be on the safe side, be sure to call and talk to him about it, and about your chest X-ray. Please let us know what you find out.

Oh - please go back into your control panel and add your surgery date to your profile so you'll be on our calendar and will receive a special greeting from HS.
