Many women have hystos

Had coffee with my mom, niece, great niece(6 mo.), and two friends. Out of the six of us girls 4 of us have had hysterectomies. I'm the newest, but they others all say it's the best thing in the world. Totally optimistic and encouraging!

As someone who has had a lot of complications I can still agree!

All of our four cases were different. My mom had uterine cancer, my friend had sever bleeding, another had endometriosis, and me an enlarged uterus and fibroids. The two who had not had the surgery one is 24, and her 6month old baby. I just thought it was interesting and worth sharing.

When I told my workmates I had endometrial cancer and was going to have a hysterectomy, it turned out that of the seven women in my department (not including myself), four had had hysterectomies for various non-cancer related reasons. One of these women was also a two-time breast cancer survivor. It made me feel better, knowing that I wasn't the first one to walk this path!
