Anyone have terrible underarm BO after hyster?

Part of the cause of smelly pits is your body's natural elimitation of waste... the anesthetic (which, BTW, stays in your system for 5 days), the pain meds, any antibiotics (which can be the WORST culprit) and any change in diet (and not one of you can tell me you eat hospital food on a regular basis).
Another cause is your reaction/shock to the surgery. When your ovaries go into shock, shut down and then restart, it is similar to ... let's see...adolescence...Remember those pre-teen days of stinking pits?
Swab some Hydrogen peroxide in your pit and make sure it's dry before applying your deodorant. It will probably help with any lingering skin bacteria.

I thought I was going crazy!! I would use deoderant and it was like I never put it on and ran for 2 miles!! (like I could of !) But now I'm 3 weeks post op and all smells better! Well I hope.... Weird what your body does!! Thank god for my hystersisters because no one else would understand!!!!!

I couldn't wait this morning to get on the computer to see if anyone had replied. I kept waiting for my DH to get off so I could see if anyone else had stinky armpits

What a riot! Us stinky women! When taking a shower this morning I thought I smelled just like a man when he really gets to sweating and stinking or one of the old men that just reeks because they don't use deoderant.
