Anxiety vs Hormones & Libido

Only days to go before TAH etc. for large fibroid June 7th.
Have feelings of a "nervous tummy" only lower down in the Uterus. No pain but really strange "waves" of sensation - difficult to describe.
My whole consciousness seems to be drawn to the area which I guess you would expect at the promise of losing it all in a few days.
Normally my libido is very low and I am usually pretty slow to arouse but in the last few days, WOW! I'm exhausting myself and DH with my demands. I don't understand these feelings and sensations and has anyone else felt this prior to surgery.
Can it be a last gasp as it were or is it a real physical state, hormones or mental anxiety.
Some have posted that sex has improved afterwards and I do feel that this is very individual, but can anyone give any insight as to what is happening.
I may also have a prolapsed uterus but DD will find this out on THursday or should I be checking pre op. with him.

love the sight
you've all helped so much can you help me with this one.

Anxiety vs Hormones & Libido

Winkin: I personnally didn't feel any rise in libido pre-op, mainly because that last monster period was still going strong as I headed in the OR. Might be mix of all of the things you mentionned

Since my surgery, sex has been great, which is a LOT better than nil Some of the reasons it's so much better: I feel better, I'm not bleeding all the time and, even though my hormones seem to be off, I think my testosterone is up.

Best of luck with your surgery on Thursday. We'll be right there with you to make sure you have a peaceful transition to post-op.
