No sweeping, mopping or vacuuming? True!

I had DaVinci total hysterectomy on 9/27. I saw the doctor a week ago and was cleared for regular activity EXCEPT sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, baths, sex, heavy lifting. I didn't really get the cleaning restrictions but figured it was a great excuse to get my family to do it all. Today I caved. One small room. My tiny laundry room. I swept it, I vacuumed the baseboards, and I mopped with the steam mop. Holy crap. Pain!!
I don't know what happens inside when doing these activities, but it flippin hurts.
Way to go, me. I'm sure I just set myself back a few days and I still have so much to do.

They should say what regular activity means ? Seriously, ??

Chores are just NOT gonna get done.
All the dust will wait for next year!!!!

Or hire a maid service for six months if it really is an issue for you and family.

Mopping, sweeping and vacuuming uses your tummy muscles as well as lifting. This is why this is a big no no. Be careful Hun.

It's killing me not to clean. I have 8 kids and being off mom-duty stinks! My husband finally admitted I have a tough job! Noooooooooo, really???

I'm spending more time downstairs now and yes the mess is getting to me. I told my husband that my sister in law will come over and clean some later in the week he took offense!!! He has been a great caretaker but his cleaning skills are awful. It's my own fault I guess. Like the sink in bathroom just needs wiped down and the kitchen table got cleaned tonight for the first time since I cleaned it pre op!! He cleaned it tonight not me! Part of me misses doing all that I did but not enough to do anything about it.

I'm fortunate my hubby can clean...but the laundry REALLY needs to be done by me. I am so scared my white undies are going to turn blue! Aaaak...I just won't watch while the laundry is getting done. I will continue to hide in my room for a bit longer!

I have out of town guests arriving Thursday. I figure three weeks was a long enough recovery, not so much. My house is a disaster!

My husband finally admitted the same. I only have 4 kids, but he finally told me that I have a hard job. I have never heard him admit it to me.
