Home from the hospital - doing pretty well
Had TAH (I think that is the right abbreviation) on 7/7 (kept ovaries). I walked the first day and had them take the catheter out just before. Had gas the second day and went home the 3rd. Used a suppository and stool softenener to have a BM and that went okay too. Had DH stay with me both nights in the hospital as my nurses were quite content to let me fend for myself.
Today (day 4) went to the doctor's office to have staples out, that looked like it was going to be scary, but it was fine - no pain. Bled a little bit though and now have little bandaid looking things holding me together.
No fever, still on the pain medicine and walking around pretty well.
Just wanted to let people know that it can be okay - so far, so good. Definitely taking it easy - mom is here with me, people are still praying for my recovery and lots of dinners are showing up
School starts in 6 weeks (I'm a teacher) so I'm planning on being very good to start the year with my students if I can.
Best to all,
ckd
