Sex At 4 Weeks?

I am there with you about being emotional and physically ready again I wished my boyfriend had been considerate instead of barbaric. 2 weeks post op my boyfriend came over I thought he wanted to see how I was but all he wanted was on thing I told him NO! I didn't have the strength to fight him off ( he weighed 200 lbs)he got what he wanted it left me in shock I am still trying to come to understand it I am ashamed and humiliated. It tore me apart emotionally and I am still having problems emotionally and physically worse is he didn't even feel bad about it.

I hope this person isn't still your bf! That is just wrong any way you look at it. Anytime the word "NO" is ignored it's rape. Plane and simple. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I do hope you had your DR check you out and make sure nothing was affected physically.

Sex At 4 Weeks?

Reading that makes me so angry...beyond words I want to punch his lights out. I know no one can be in your shoes but I certainly hope you pass on the *******! My bf, is afraid of being around me bascially at all, he comes over and sit far away from me won't let me do anything. Now I wish he would be a little more comforting, but after reading this, I'm all cool with his fear of hurting me.

Please take care emotionally and physically.

Sex At 4 Weeks?

I had my post op check up at 4 weeks instead of 6 also. My doctor examined me and said my restrictions were over, except those that put a big strain on the abdominal muscles. He said I could go back to work then or I could wait the whole 6 if I wanted to. I was given a HRT prescription with very little time for questions or discussion (this is my only complaint about my gyno, I felt he just shoved some pills at me and sent me on my way). My job is very detail oriented and I was suffering with very bad insomnia and restless legs, I saw my GP and she wrote me an off work excuse until 8 weeks post op. As for the question about sex, my doctor gave me the OK at 4 weeks, but his partner had stressed in the hospital NOTHING in the vagina for 6 weeks, so I decided to play it safe and follow her instructions. Even then, I wasnt emotionally ready until 7 1/2 weeks. Hope this helps.

Sex At 4 Weeks?

Sacared to death
Sorry we got off the subject of your post! I was released for sex 25 days post op!! And I also went back to work 2 weeks post op, although I had to go part time. I waited 3 days before curiosity got the best of me and I wanted to know how things would feel. I can't say we did anything more than try it out and I got scared and we stopped, I just kept thinking that it was way too soon. Nothing bad happened (nothing tore open & no blood) and there was no pain or anything, I just wasn't ready to go at it and press my luck, I too was scared to death!!

Now on the work side of things, after 25 days post op I was sent back to bed for 3 days for overdoing it. My doctor and I share many of the same interests and he has seen me around town way too much since my operation so when he asked me how I was doing and I told him I had good and bad days he said it was because I have been overdoing it since day 1 and that I needed to rest so that my body could catch up to where it should be, so I do not think I am a good example there. It seems to me that if you are scared of work or resuming sex you should follow your gut and talk with your doctors. I have not read any posts that have said their doc's refused to write them a work release for longer because they felt they were not ready to go back to work yet!! Hope this helps.

Hugs,
Aimee
