Doctor suspects adenomyosis

I had pain mainly in the pelvic area and heavy cramping at period time. My left side hurt as well as leg and hip. I still have some leg pain and little side pain...may have not been related. My doctor suspected it when he saw my enlarged uterus and fibroids. I also had a high CA-125 number which turned out that I had adenomyosis, endometriosis and fibroids which elevated the number. So glad I had the hysterectomy.

When was your surgery??? Mine is scheduled for Monday. I am really hoping the pain goes away or at least gets better.

Oh, I forgot the biggest complain...back pain! To the point that I was looking for a surgeon for back surgery. Amazing...it's completely gone so I forgot about it!

Mine was Dec. 5th. I think you will experience a reduction in pain if not all the pain being gone.

I'm recovering slower than I thought, mainly because I was in surgery for so many hours once they found everything. BUT I am off the pain pills, just on Tylenol now. My organs are awake but still not back to normal inside as we all know takes that 6-8 weeks to completely heal. No regrets.

Good luck, Monday! Be sure to tell you doctor any last minute pain or other that has come up. My type of surgery got changed just about a week before because I mentioned a few extra symtoms and it turned out for the best and so glad I told him everything, even the little things.

Thinking positive thoughts for you.
