Re: HysterSisters between 35-40...Advice Needed

Thank you for all of your advice, and just being here to listen (read) LOL. I am going in tomorrow at 9:30. Yesterday was rough, so far so good today but I can feel the tears/tension building as the day goes on. I will let you know how I do once I get home as I am not taking laptop to hospital.

Hi everyone. I'm 36. Surgery is March 1st. Debating today on whether or not to keep a partial ovary or just take them both out.

Good luck to everyone!!!

Thinking of you Hope37!

I'm also 37 and had my dVH on Friday. So I'm on Day 2 post op. I haven't had a lot of gas build up, but I have had diarrhea when I do pass gas. Not sure what that is about, but I'm wearing a pad "back there" just in case I don't make it to the bathroom in time! As for the pain, I'm in a lot less pain than I feared. I do have some pain when the gas is building, so I start heading in the direction of the bathroom. I was given milk of magnesia and Senokot in the hospital, but haven't taken any since I got home. (Figured with the diarrhea it wouldn't be such a good plan. LOL) I bought Gas-X but haven't even opened it. It is there if I do need it in the future anyway!

Good luck tomorrow. I was increasingly nervous and I know the day before I was a bit of a wreck. But I did fine and I know you will too! ((HUGS))

Thank you. I ate light this week only soup and salad hoping it helps with the gas. Drank the magnesium citrate 25 minutes ago; it was yucky but I kept it down and so far it hasn't done a thing. It is nice to hear you are doing well. Can't wait to saying the same thong in a couple days.
