TAH Get To Start Driving woot woot

Had my TAH on May 15th and I have to say I must be one of the lucky ones, I have had no issues beside a bladder infection (which I think we all got). I tried to go back to work last week and doc was like ummm no LOL, I could try

I do get to start driving tomrrow but my hubby wants me to start driving just within 5 miles or so of the house (love that guy) he doesn't want me to push it to hard LOL

Now my questions are:

Vag cuff, do you always see the stiches come out?? I'm Starting my 4th week of post op and have not seen anything.


Internal Abd stiches, I can feel them like crazy, lol my doc said its because I'm skinny, 5'3 122lbs. My question is how long b4 the desloved?? They are poking me from the inside out. Feels crazy.

Anyways happy heal to all and I hope more have an easy recovery progress as I have!!!

I can't wait to start driving Friday! I was shocked when I was told after the surgery that I couldn't for a month lol.

I managed to not get a uti! (knocking on wood lol)

I've not seen any stitches yet either and I'm for once glad for the extra pounds as what you are describing would make me crazy lol! I hope that ends soon for you!

I can feel the stitches if I touch my tummy or have to hold it ect. I can feel them poke through which is kind of wired feeling, lol

Lawd, I got too much flab in that region to feel any stitches, lol.

I was told I could drive as soon as I stopped taking Percocet. I could drive now, but don't really need to go anywhere yet, lol. I hibernate in the hot months anyways. Can't stand the heat & humidity.

Sounds like you are doing great with your recovery! Love to hear these stories. They are encouraging.

Yeah its hot here in Florida too!!!

Our heat is coming next week. Just in time for the fair. Luckily it's a dry heat here.
Now I'm wondering how long until the stitches are gone!
