vaginal dryness

This is a common complaint of low vaginal estrogen. Its generally easily treated with a once or twice per week application of vaginal estrogen cream (such as Estrace). Make an appt with your Dr for a proper diagnosis and treatment plan.

good luck

What about for those of us who can't use any estrogen product? Does anyone know what we "can" use.

vaginal dryness

Hi there

I'm a no-HRT sister due to cancer. I have been using RePlens which is available OTC in pharmacies. It is a little messy but has helped immensely with my menopausal dryness and irritation. I found the change to dryness with meno quite disconcerting and spoke to my GYN about it. He actually mentioned vaginal estrogen but backed off when I expressed my concerns about the estrogen-dependent cancer. He doesn't feel that the vaginal HRT products are bad for early stage endo cancer, but I'm not on his page yet!!

When I use RePlens regularly, I even experience less bladder irritation so I don't have to get up in the night so often to pee. There is also a product sold on this site that other sisters have raved about.

Check with your doctor for his opinion on a treatment plan for you.

I have had this feeling for about a week. It's like a rug burn inside 24/7. I have an appt in the am, I came on this site tonight for help and research, looks like I'm not alone.
