Recurrent UTI ??

Hi all I havent been on in a while, but I know when I need help my sisters will be there for me. Since March 1st I have had 4 UTI.. My reg dr ( not the gyno)has given me four courses of levaquin.. I feel fine for a few days..then my urine culture keeps coming back with Strep B. My question.. should I go to the gyno or a urologist?? and has anyone had anything like this after surgery. and is it possible that my husband and i could be passing this back and forth..the dr says no.. i just need oopinions..I am going back to My reg dr back on monday for another culture and i am sure ill get more antibiotics..I am almost 3 months postop from a SAH..kept cervix and ovaries.

thanks all

Recurrent UTI ??

Please get a second opinion. It can never hurt. A uro gyn would be great, but if not then see a gyn or a uro. Di you have a sling put in to support your bladder? If so then that might be the cause. Sue

THanks for answering Sue, I didnt have a sling put in my bladder. I never knew that there is such a thing as a uro gyn.. I am going to look for one in my area.. I live on Long Island, NY if anyone knows of a good one. THanks again
