Advice about issues happening one year after surgery

Well, it has been a little over a year since my surgery (12/19/12). I am feeling better as far as pain; I had endometriosis. The endometriosis had spread to the point of wrapping around one of my kidneys. Doc said if it had continued, possible I could of lost that kidney. Therefore, I have no regret is getting the surgery. I had a daVinci surgery, prior to this I had surgeries to remove endo and an abalation that only seemed to work temporarily.

Although I feel better, I still have other annoyances that have appeared. I notice that I have issues with acid reflux or perhaps it is gerd, idk. I wake up sometimes with that burning feeling in my chest from the reflux. Also, I have little sensitivity in the breast area; if any at all. Additionally, my weight is extremely hard to take off, but I am taking the responsibility for this one. I am 47 years old, things aren't as they were and I am now wearing a fitbit, tracking calories, met with a trainer and I am moving back to the activity level I was at before surgery and my demanding job. Another thing I have noticed is that my colon is sensitive and will wake me up in the middle of the night as if it is tight and I need to go to the bathroom. I have been taking a probiotic and it seems to help a little.

Sexually, it takes longer to get aroused and I have lost some sensitivity. Which makes me wonder if I need a different dosage of hormones. I am on the Vivelle patch .1 which is the highest dosage. To increase dosage, I would have to wear more than one patch; I believe. I will definitely leave this up to doc. I have little to no sensitivty in my breasts as well as in other areas; enough said.

I definitely will discuss all of this with the doc that I see in the morning, any suggestions and helpful advice would be appreciated.

Re: Advice about issues happening one year after surgery

I wish I had some advice for you, but I don't... It sounds like hormonal issues to me, but you doctor is the best person to ask. I am 18 months post and also notice differences in my body and weird annoying things (in addition to the complications from my surgery) so I understand how you feel. I am glad you don't regret your surgery, as that is not a good feeling. I hope you get some answers soon!
