TLH 10 days post hysterectomy: insomnia and night sweats; driving?

I''m 47 and I had TLH with left ovary removed due to lesions and it was attached to my bowel. So far things have been progressing as they should. I see my doctor Thursday for my first post op but I have a couple of questions. I thought I might get some input here.

I still have my right ovary but have been experiencing insomnia and night sweats, possibly hot flashes during the day as well, the last 2 days/nights. Some nights I have trouble falling asleep and will be awake until 1 or 2am. Other nights, I fall asleep right away only to wake up after 2-4 hours then be awake for several hours before falling back to sleep. Right now this is fine since I'm home, recovering but once I go back to work, this is going to cause huge problems.

I really thought with having one ovary, I wouldn't be experiencing menopause symptoms. Is it possible I'm entering menopause or is this to be expected with only having one ovary now?

Last question, my discharge papers say no driving for 2 weeks. My 1st post op appt is one day short of 2 weeks. Would you drive yourself to the appt? I am considering it so hubby doesn't have to miss another day of work.
