Thanks Susan

I really appreciate your input, especially about the pain meds at the hospital. If I ever told poppy about this princess in the castle routine, he would have me sent straight from surgery to the psych ward! Guess I shall just try to do as much meal prep as I can beforehand. He goes to bed at 9, LOL so he better just hope I sleep through the night. I am sure there are men who are good at this nurturing business, wonder if I could find one in less than two weeks. I had a friend who was taken by ambulance to the hospital because of severe breathing problems, she looked down at the bottom of the gurney and there was her husband with his head on the bed. As she gasped for air, she asked him what was wrong, and he said he had a wicked headache!!
I think perhaps the younger men are less "into" themselves and more prepared to be domestic , health care providers. Not these old coots though! There is an old saying, that which does not kill you makes you stronger. Maybe I should have that printed out and make a mobile to hang from the hospital bed, or perhaps taped to the catheter!
Thanks Susan, you are a sweet soul. Granny
