Still in pain

My LAVH was 3 weeks ago today. My energy level is ok. Some days are good and other days I'm very tired. I'm concerned that I'm still having so much pain in the area I assume to be the vaginally cuff. Not 24/7 but frequently. It's a cramping feeling - like the cramps I was experiencing before my hysterectomy. I also periodically have a sensation of something in my vagina - like a tampon. No fever, bladder or bowel issues and I've read that this can be a normal experience that should subside over time. I'm just really concerned with the cramping. Am I expecting to much too soon?

Re: Still in pain

EXACTLY the same for me, and my surgery date was a few days before yours 4/29. So, you are not alone but neither of us have an answer.

Re: Still in pain

I actually didn't start feeling that kind of pain go away until the 4 week. However I did go in so they could look at my cuff and he did say there was an area there that looked agitated. He put me on cipro and anaprox ds. The tampon feeling is usually swelling which also went away in my 4th week.

I really though having the davinci I shouldn't be feeling like that at week 3 but some heal slower than others. It is not necessarily you or your body it could be the way your doctordid the sutures. That was the case with me.

Hang in there but if it gets too bad I would call especially with the long weekend coming up.

Thank you so much! Sister Stusha and I greatly appreciate your reply. My next appt is a week from today but I think I'm going to call to see if she can get me in early. Thanks again for the support.
