dumb question #89

OK, So I am having my hyst in October, and I guess this is a really dumb question, but.... if you have a vag hyst, do they automatically remove the cervix too? I'm thinking that I've not seen anyone say they are having a 'partial' vag hyst, huh?? I hadn't really thoght about it, but someone mentioned it in a post today and thought I would ask.

I am soooo thankful this site is here, I am learning a lot, but still have a ways to go

Thanks!!

dumb question #89

I'm pretty sure they have to take the cervix if they do it vaginally.

They took mine and there wasn't any talk about whether I wanted to keep it or not.

dumb question #89

There's no way to go into the uterus through the vagina without taking the cervix.

Dumb question? No way. How are you going to find out if you don't ask?
