TAH 4 months post hysterectomy: Swelly - Bruised feeling belly and HRT.

Just wanting to know if there is anyone out there with "bruised" feeling and "swelly" belly after 4 months post-op. Doesn't seem to matter if I am active or do more sitting I still feel that way.

Hot flashes and night sweats anyone? What's your HRT protocol? I

Yeh swelly belly here too at 4 months but it's worse if I've had a busy day. Started hrt patches this wk, no problems with flushes but terrible vag dryness and bladder problems :-( wish things would settle - it's a long process.

Yes, I am a little further even and thats exactly what it feels like...a bruise. Just an achy feeling. And swelly belly still. My doctor said it's hormones and my age and that I'm just retaining water! I told him thats a little suspicious that it only started post surgery lol.

I am glad to hear some else is having the same issues. I am not glad to hear that you are having issues however.

I am having severe hot flashes and night sweats. Not sleeping is an issue. Just started yesterday on the estradot patch. Hoping in a few days I will be feeling a difference. It has been a long haul. Wasn't expecting this. Thought a couple months, and is be fine. not so.

I am 4 months out and also have that same feeling of my insides being bruised. Also still have the swelly belly. I had to go out and buy a few pair of draw string pants. It's almost impossible to sit all day at work with pants that zip. I have been using YES vaginal water based moisturizer and it really helps. It's costly but worth it. Take good care Sisters.
