Pre-Op was today

Everything is go for Oct 10. He plans to try to do a VH, but if he can't get ovaries he will do AH. I forgot to ask him for an antibiotic, and he forgot to prescribe one, so I have a call in for that. I am working really hard to keep blood glucose down, and it is sure a chore, but going pretty well. I lost 11lbs in the past 4 weeks, so that is a good thing. He went over all of the things that could go wrong, and that sure can scare you!! BUT, I have a really positive attitude about the whole thing, and expect it all to be fine. Have to admit it is getting nervous around here, tho. LOL

I always seem to forget something, even when I make a list. I am glad your day is approaching and hope you can remain calm until it arrives. Keep the positive attitude and you'll do fine. This waiting is the pits! Good luck on your trip to the castle!

They gave my my antibiotics while I was in the castle, while on the table.
Keep up the positive attitude it's always the waiting thats the worst. Don't forget as they say here
"pamper the princess!"

I am also scheduled for Oct. 10. I talked to my dr about antibiotics and he said they would start a bag of them on me when i got to the castle or shortly thereafter. No time for nervousness here. We are in busy time at work and I am working everyday 8hrs plus each day until the day before surgery. I am very ready to get this done!

Thanks gals! I have aeortic stenosis (thickened valve in my heart) and have to have an antibiotic prior to any invasive procedure, including the dentist. Seems odd to me, but I didn't once and spent 3 weeks in the castle, so not messing around now. Same here dar595. Work is very hectic, so time will pass quickly!
