I'm not sure why I never made the connection before. Anyway, I just looked up Hysteria in the dictionary. No, there wasn't a picture of me, but there should have been.
"hyster : from the Greek word meaning uterus.
Hysteria: thought to occur more often in women than in men :1) a psychiatric condition characterized by excitability, anxiety, the stimulation of organic disorders etc. 2)any outbreak of wild, uncontrolled feeling.
We had an excellent Thanksgiving celebration last weekend!!! We played women verses men, Cranium.
This brings to mind the dumbfounded, mystified, expressions of those four men sitting watching us girls laughing HYSTERICALLY over nothing.
I So LOVE BEING A WOMAN even with all the ups and downs. (Maybe even because of them)

Yep -- that's me, "Madame Hysteria".

Now that I've had my operation, I'm getting closer to the day where I can say again, "It's lovely to be a woman....." For so long, I wasn't able to.

LOL!!! Are you serious? Oh I'll have to look into that one, was it before or after they started with the lobotomies?
But then too, I'm sure hoping having mine removed will improve my disposition. It's hard to be nice when the constant pain is wearing you down!

Amen sister!

I don't know how many times I have to really bite my tongue and force myself to smile when I don't feel like.

And how many times have we all answered "fine" to the "How are you doing?" question when you want to say, "Rotten. Couldn't be worse!"

I guess it would be considered "whining" if we told it like it was.

No progress yet. We have filed an appeal with the commissioner of ins for our state. Still waiting to hear from them as to their decision. Hoping for the best though. <fingers crossed>
