I also just started my period, I was hoping for the last time.....but the way I calculated it, I will probably have it for my surgery......This period was the worst I have ever had it also.....Has anyone had their period for their surgery? God I hope not for me!!!

Your periods lasted five days???? Oh, that would have been great. The least I ever had was seven days....in the end...it was 26 days with two or three days of clean mini-pads. *sigh*

I can total relate to the gusher...I think I can handle the cramps better than the embarrassment of having a visible accident....arggh!

So many times at work, in meetings, sitting there I pray I didn't bleed through...it's the worst!

My last period should be starting in 6 days...I'll be counting the days!

When you have had constant bleeding for 5 years a 5 day period is heaven...lol.. For once the progesterone worked...

I am on my last period also and of course it has to hit right on my vacation time but I am determined to not let this ruin my vacation and keep in the back of my head that after July 1 I will never again have to indure wearing a tampon and a pad both because I gush so bad and those god awful cramps will be gone forever.

I am at work right now and thank goodness this place is almost empty, because I was nearly doubled over in pain a few minutes ago. I know this is my last period, but I sure hope it ends soon.

My Mom was wondering why I wasn't more concerned about post-surgery pain. Not that I expect surgery to be a walk in the park, but what does she think I go through every month?

don't worry about that part ... they're going to have to deal with bleeding anyway, so a little extra won't interfere with the surgery ...

i actually started the afternoon of my surgery, so while waiting in the pre-op holding area, all i could think about was how exciting it was that when i woke up i wouldn't have to worry about cramping and gushing ever again! good luck to you
