Surgery Tomorrow. 10-8
Hey girls
I am now getting a little scared. I was to be there at 7am in the morning. But the hospital called today and changed the time to 9am. I am going in to have some tests and some biopsies of the bladder and kidneys and ureatha (sp). I guess it's the fear of the unknown. I dont know what to expect. I dont know if i will hurt after. I do know I will be out of it for the most part for everything
thats one good part. I am scared about getting sick after. I have a bad problem of getting sick 8 to 12 hours after having any surgeries. I am talking really sick. Last time was put back in the hospital for 4 days with IV's in both arms. I couldnt eat couldnt drink. But I am hoping as I am a little older now it will be ok. I really should be in bed but cant sleep. I am up cleaning house. sounds crazy doesnt it? Sorry if i keep going and going I dont mean to I think I just need to talk.....Thanks for letting me go on
and on....

Keep going and going all you'd like. It's great just to get it out. I couldn't sleep a wink the night before, so no I don't think it sounds crazy. Just try to keep yourself occupied, maybe you'll tire yourself out . You'll have plenty of time to sleep tomorrow - hehe
Sorry I can't help answer any of your questions but just keep positive thoughts and best wishes to you.

Hi Brenda
I surely do hope you don't get sick; but why do you get sick? Is it the anesthesia, in that case tell your anesthesiologist- there are things that can be done.
You can go on and on and on like the energizer bunny all night long if you need to, honey, that's what we are here for.
Don't you worry about that.
Get it all out so that you are calmer when you go in.
I would encourage you to discuss the getting sick part with the nurse who checks you in, your GYN, the surgeon (if not the same) and the anesthesiologist.
My prayers go with you tomarrow. I wish you an uncomplicated surgery, uneventful castle stay, boring even, and a painless recovery. I believe in asking for the moon- sometimes we get it.

I dont know why I get so sick. I did tell my DR and the per-op nurse. They do give me Meds to help with it but once i get home thats when I get sick. it has happend everytime i am wondering if it just all the stress i have before hand. so far i think i am doing pretty good. keeping my mind off of it and such. I am just a mess cause I have such a hard time after any kind of surgery. My last was the gallbladder and that was only 6 months ago. I have a hard time with the CATH's.also after i have one I have a hard time trying to pee. last time I couldnt at all and had to be CATH'ed again they left it in for 24 more hours. and tomorrow they are going to be going up the ureatha(sp) doing alot of tests & such and I am thinking oh no here we go again not going to be able to PEE !!!
But I will deal with that if it happens. Hope it doesnt. .
Hugs
