Surgery April 3rd

Hi everyone, my boyfriend went to pre op with me and he says Im staying with him for 6 weeks, and he will take care of me, which is wonderfull but Im afraid he doesnt realy know what he is offoring, LOL. Im scared to death and he is a positive thinker keeps saying dont think negative, so now I tell him Im not realy worried, Iam. Im 55 and for the last 4 years Im use to taking care of myself hard for me to ask for help. Guess Im scared he will go over board. Im being cut from belly button down is 3 days in hospital normal? I don't know about the hospital stay.....I'm having a LAVH.
But....it sounds like your boyfriend really cares for you and wants to be sure you are taken care of. If you are worried though, I would still say it out loud. You are allowed and even if he keeps repeating to you not to think negative it's okay. Maybe explain that while you appreciate him trying to keep you looking at the positive side of things you will still need to worry....not neccessarily being negative, just worrying.....because it is a natural process that you need to work your way through before surgery. You can use this forum as an example of just how many women feel the same way before having this surgery. You are definitely not alone in that feeling.
As far as worrying about him going overboard....enjoy it...it is your time to be pampered. If there is one thing that I have seen over and over on this site, it is: You only get one chance to heal correctly.
Oh....I just noticed that your hyst date says March 20th, 1983! When are you having your surgery?
