What will repair surgery be like?

Ok, it is me again

I am still running a fever and I am staying closer to 100 than 99 now, which means now that I have been off the antibiotic, things are going backwards with the infection in the vaginal cuff.

The pressure is back in that area and I have actually had to take the pain pills for the past 2 days.

I am trying to prepare myself for my next doctors visit. If he has to go in and clean out the infection, what will he do? Will I have more incisions? Will he do it vaginally? Does it require a hospital stay? Will they use general anesthesia? Will it require and additional 6 weeks off work?

I am still hoping for the best, but I do better if I have a lot of information. My doctor is great and will explain the answers to my questions, I just want to know ahead of time. He dropped the repair surgery on me last week, I think to prepare me for what was possibly coming. Now that things are going the way they are, I think I need to start preparing myself.

I have ran a fever since 4 days post-op. It has truly worn me out, even though it has been low grade for the most part. My body just is not healing. I need this to go away, even if it means another surgery. (I am trying to keep a positive spin on things. On the inside, I am scared to death!)

I'm so sorry you're having these troubles! Have you seen your doctor, and what did he say? Hopefully he can treat your infection without another surgery! Sending you hugs and prayers!
