Got a date!

I'm scheduled for September 27, 2007! It's so weird, I'm pumped and terrified. The doc first was going to do a TVH but thanks to doing my research, it turned into a LAVH. He said that his patients under 40 are normally the only ones who bring up laprascopic surgeries. In my head, there was no other option.

I was going to try to keep my cervix but I know my body. If there is a freaky side-effect, I will have it. I've had periods for 29 freakin' years (I started when I was NINE!) and I don't want to ever have to wear another tampon or pad on a monthly basis.

Talk to y'all later!

Got a date!

Congratulations on receiving your date sister!

It feels so much more real when you get the date set, but getting it makes a whole load of other things start rolling around in your head! I know all too well it wasn't so long ago I got my date.
Thankfully for me it has flown by and before the end of the week I too will have visited the castle for my big day!

Like you I started my periods at the tender age of nine, and from day one they caused me nothing but problems, by the sound of it you as I have been thought it all looking for an answer. I am just soo happy to see the light at the end of my tunnel.

I will be having the LAH so I will try to let you know how I got on!

I pray your waiting time for your big day comes as quickly as mine seems to have done

Take care sis Aisha xxx

If I'm this panicked now...

I'll be foaming at the mouth by the time 9/27 rolls around!

Thank you for the support ladies! Yes, the waiting is already getting to me and I just got my date last week!

I saw the doctor on Wednesday. Thursday they called to let me know that they had been in contact with the insurance company and I had been precertified so the only thing I have to do now is the hardest...wait.

Knowing how much I need to get done before I have surgery and am off work for several weeks is mind boggling. Clean my office, file the gigantic stacks of paper. Suppose my boyfriend gets the big call that a kidney is ready for him so he needs to come in for a transplant?? Suppose I have a flare up of lupus? Suppose I catch a cold, develop a yeast infection (I'm being treated for one now so that isn't too far off course). AAARRRGGGHHH!!

Yep, that's right kids...she has gone off her rocker. They shouldn't have given me a date that was more than a week away. By the time my pre-op rolls around on the 24th of September, they will have to draw blood throw my straitjacket.

I love this website...I don't feel quite as insane knowing others are just as frantic and freaked out as I am.

Here's a question: do those around you know that you are totally freaked out? As you can tell from my "gotta do" paragraph, I have a lot going on in my life. To look at me, I'm perfectly composed and calm but boy, if they could take a look in my head, I'd probably be committed (which sometimes seems to be a vonderful ideah dahling).

Okay, I'm going to pop a Lunesta in my mouth and go to bed. Thank goodness for this haven.

You are too funny!!!!..Laughed my ***** off reading this post.love the "if they could take a look in my head I'd probably be committed sentence".thats how I feel and trying to stay as normal on the outside....I just popped a lunesta too!!..on the more serious side..hope all goes well with you and your boyfriends kidney...now that must be a very scary long wait...prayers out to both of you....my surgery is in 2 days...only my one sister called to see how I was holding up..I expect to get alot of those tomorrow from rest of family....my husband and little guy are just acting their normal selves...so I feel actually more calm now than when I knew I had to wait a few weeks at which time I would either cuddle w/them or bite their heads off...also did alot of shopping as if I had to stock clothes and food enough for a whole year...guess I was ready to be committed than...especially because this has lasted me a few months of this as I postponed the first date of jUly 24 because of panick....so now I kick myself for that one ....today I made big pan of cavettelli and broccoli....meatballs and sauce...pans of ziti and pan of chicken parm...all was unplanned but today I started to think let me keep busy...and it worked...tomorrow will be wash sheets..final dust and vacuum..final 2 loads of clothes...and than the ever wonderful bowel prep all nite... ..this is how I know i am a cookcoo bird (I suddenly can't spell) and I ramble on like this from one thing to another....my brain is probably grateful I got some out!!!
