LAVH 9wks post-op was intimate and husband had small cuts -help!

Good Morning Ladies-

Last night my husband and I were intimate and it wasn't for the first time but when we were done he had small cuts on the top of his penis. He told me this happened before after the surgery but thought nothing of it. We have only been intimate about 3 times starting since 6weeks post-op. It is always in the same spot. I had a LAVH Left S&O and mini arc sling placed. Is it possible that I still have internal stitches? I still had all my stitches at 4weeks post-op check up. I still have some light dark brown discharge and some red discharge at times but not often. Any insight would be great.

Sounds like you definitely still have stiches..

Hope it is not the sling? I would put a call into my doctor.

I agree, I would definitely give your doctor a call just to make sure it isn't something to be concerned about. It is possible for you to still have some internal stitches. Hopefully that is all it is and they will dissolve soon.

Hey everyone- My doc finally got me in this week and said it looks like I may have a few stitches left up high or I just lost them. he said things look very "fresh". If things don"t get better I have to return in a couple weeks and it doesn't look like the sling-yeah! Thanx guys

Did he say to continue to have sex?

He did tell me we should be fine to continue to have sex and if he continue to get small cuts I should return to make sure that he didn"t miss any other sutures.
