Yes and it's so hard to do battle when you are struggling just to cope with the pain; I know as I am 'there'.

Did they ever find exactlly where your infection was coming from? What you have gone through is not normal and not right at all. I am not sure where you are located, but I know my insurance company has a 24 hr nurses line that is a great place to start with major questions like this, especially if you aren't getting answers from your Dr. I'm pretty sure that blood clots with BM's, even with hemrroids, is not normal. It sounds as though your infection may have something to do with your bowel. Please keep us posted as to what you find out. Also, if your fever spikes please get yourself to the hospital. I understand not wanting to go, but I would be concerned with all that you have been through.

Please take care of yourself.

Re: post op recovery

Oh my! This is so disheartening. I, too, have had a low grade fever ever since my surgery on September 24, 2012. I have run into the same problems with the doctor's office. I do have an appointment for this Thursday. I hope all is well. Take care and feel better soon.

Re: post op recovery

Anytime we get a fever, fever spikes, chills or body aches post op, please take seriously and quickly. My med team said oh that's normal. Three days in hospital w iv antibiotics. ER doc said those signs usually mean infection. Please listen to your bodies and instinct....rest and heal well sisters!!

Re: post op recovery

It is very important to stay ahead of the pain. Painkillers will also help with inflammation and FEVER
I do agree with that fever is worrisome , even if it is low grade.
