bowel pain 18 days post hysterectomy

I had a laparascopic hysterectomy March 6th and felt well last week - but the last 2 days I have had severe pain that feels like gas - feels like I need to go - and I do but it's very loose to watery and even after going I still feel like there is something right there that needs to come out - pressure when I sit too. I did have pressure issues before the hysterectomy. and found out after the procedure I had several fibroids posterior under the uterus - I am concerned because the procedure was slightly more intense than they expected - took about an hour longer and ended up a pound and a half removed - could I have bowel damage?

I would call your dr's office and speak with him/her or their nurse. I don't know if your dr has the option of email like mine.
Are you still taking the pain pills? They will constipate you.
Are you eating good, i.e.: fiber, fruits, drinking water?

My first BM after surgery was rough and I felt like I didn't finish. I kept taking the colace until I was on a regular schedule. (I weened myself off.)
