Hysterectomy done!

Surgery is done! It's been a long week...
I tried to join the pre op chat but I kept getting kicked outm must be my iPad.
My original surgery date was Monday march 10 but on Sunday my doctor called me, he fell down and hurt himself and canceled the surgery...
We rescheduled it or Wednesday march 12..
So I was a complete mess of nerves.
Wednesday morning I had to be at hospital at 10 am surgery set for noon... I was given the option to stay over or not, I choose not!
Surgery was about 3 hours.. I had a hard time waking up in recovery and was sick.. So ended up staying over, had a nice private room! Very good nurses and techs! Got in my room about 6, saw hubby and then he went home to feed kids... Had a rough time with pain and nassua with dizziness, next day had time too, came home around 8 at night. Slept ok but with pain meds. Called doctor yesterday for anti nassua drugs.. Also using Motrin, Percocet, anti nassua drugs and ginger pills.. My diabetese has been good, not much of a appititie, but at least throat doesn't hurt anymore... Still sore, crampy and dizzy with sick feeling but much better everyday, but did to much today, up and down stairs, changed clothes from washier to dryer... Now on the couch! For the night!
Had my cervix, uterous and tubes removed, left my ovaries both of them..

Re: Surgery done!

CONGRATULATIONS! Its over and you've made it past the worst part (in my opinion), the anticipation. Take it easy now, and let the laundry wait, or better yet; have someone else do it! You just had major surgery sister, and sounds like you had a rough time too. Take care of yourself. Sending you positive thoughts and hugs, Lisa
