A bit disappointed with my hysterectomy consultation...wondering if anyone else could chime in

Cathy10: She did apologize for the wait, and mentioned that she is really backed up. I've been with her for a few years now, and she's always been really great, so it was a real shock that this appointment went the way it did. Maybe there is another appointment that will have the info that I need. I'm still new to this, so I'm learning as I go along.

sissy13: I'm hoping that is the case. From what I've heard, there will be another appointment with more info.

coughy16: I'm hoping that I misunderstood what this appointment was about. They called it a surgical consultation, but maybe I got it wrong and there is something more in depth coming up.

I had a separate pre op appt. I had a discussion with my Dr and asked my few questions. I hadn't found this site and had no clue what to ask, but he answered all my questions. Then I spent 30 min with the nurse going over pre and post op instructions, and practical matters. If you don't get another appt, request it and be clear it's for questions. I suspect the plan is to see you once you have a date. Be prepared with questions, I know I didn't get a lot of info covered here because I didn't know to ask.
