Got 2nd Opinion....going with it.

A lot has changed since my first scheduled surgery. On May 25th, I was scheduled to have an abdominal, removing the right ovary, doing a wiffle ball technique on the left one through a vertical incision. My father had a stroke the week before my surgery, so I postponed it until we knew more about his health.

I have since resigned from my job to stay at home with my children. So that meant changing insurances, finding a new doc, hoping he would see that I needed the surgery. Luckily, I am scheduled to have surgery in 25 days. He said that he could do a bikini cut incision (happy, happy, joy, joy) and that he would either leave the ovary if it looked healthy, or remove it altogether. That by doing the "wiffle ball" thing it would make me more prone to adhesions and scar tissue. (never a good thing)

I go in for pre-op on the 2nd. This will be my 14th time going under, so for all of you out there that are leery about being knocked out, it is easy. I've had it all, spinals, epidurals, general...and I've never had a bit of nausea or any side effects from the juice.

I am a little bit bummed that I am going to miss the season opener of football season...I hope I can make a brief appearance at our tailgate, then head home to catch the game.

((( Alliekat)))

Thanks for letting us know your new date. I'm happy that everything is working out with your new dr.

I understand completely why you postponed the first date. Is your dad doing ok now?

It's great that anesthesia doesn't make you sick ( I ALWAYS get nauseous ) - 14 times wow!

I hope that you get to enjoy most the football season
