3 weeks post-op and still bleeding - could I be doing too much?

I am 3 weeks today post LAVH. Had a few minor setbacks after surgery, but MD said everything looks good. I am still bleeding though. Is this normal? Could I be doing too much? I hate to call the office again, I feel like such a pain!

Hi Rita. i will be 4 weeks post op on Thursday and I have been spotting since surgery..a little less, mostly only when I pee. But yesterday it was a little more and was bright orange. I am going to call the Dr as it has been pale brown. I hope i didnt over do it. I slighty kicked a cabinet door closed in the kitchen and felt a little pulling in my groin..but geez I barely raised my foot!

anyways, I know how you feel. Everyday with me it has been something. Good luck

Re: 3 weeks post-op and still bleeding - could I be doing too much?

Hi there. I had spotting of all shades of pink, red and brown up until a few days ago, and I am 5 weeks post op. For me, it was definitely related to how much activity I had done, so I took it a little easier when the color changed from brownish back to pink or red or if it got heavier.

As long as its not red blood you are good to go, OB said 6 weeks for the brown and pink to stop.

What kind of things are you doing? I was lucky & never even had spotting but I did nothing but rest & walk.
