More yeast infections?????

Hello sisters..i am scheduled for surgery on 12/12/12. Due to fibroids. In the past i have had a major problem with yeast infections. I would probably get them at least once a month if not more. The past year or more i have been eating chobani greek yogurts and it has been like a miracle. I found that the infections were coming further and further apart. I am at the point of not remembering the last time i had one!!! I have been reading many of the posts and i have noticed the mentioning of yeast infections. After surgery are you more likely to get them?? I was hoping it was the opposite since you no longer have a uterus.

I too had big problems with yeast infections, but only about 1 every other month.
My Dr told me that after my hyster, thatt they would likely get much better because my uterus was likely causing my ph balance to be off. I was skeptical, especially knowing that antibiotics will give me one every time. Well, I had 3 rounds of antibiotics in the hospital and 2 rounds of 1 of the strongest antibiotics post-op, for my bladder. Just waiting for the yeast to set in. I had diflucan already here at the house That old familiar pressure, pain, discomfort, itch, burning...etc....has NEVER come.

I have read where women are having them post-op, but for me, so far...much better. I am 6 weeks post-op and feel great
