need prayers quick

Ladies,
My annual mammogram last week was abnormal. I had diagnostic mammograms taken yesterday and now am scheduled for a "cone" biopsy today, about two hours from now. Am being hurried through the system because my hyster is scheduled for next week, so I am grateful for the quick action.
I had a surgical biopsy for breast cancer six years ago for the same thing -- microcalcifications. It was benign and I've been "clean" since then until now, when microcalcifications returned in the same spot.
I know these are benign 70 percent of the time, and that if it is cancer it's being caught in a very early stage. Still, between the upcoming hyster and now this, I am just numb. Please say a few extra prayers for me.
Gerri

Hi Gerri,

My prayers will be with you. Read the verse in my signature. It helped me so much last year when my very first mammogram came back abnormal and I had to have a large-core biopsy (which turned out to be normal, by the way!)

Let us know how things turn out.

s,

Lisa

Hi Gerri,

I hope that everything comes back okay. I'm sorry that you are going through this all at once.

Last year I had two cluster of classifications and one came back DCIS. I only had to have a lumpectomy. I didn't have any further treatment. Remember 80% are benign.

On Wednesday, December 17th I'm suppose to have hysterscope D & C to remove a fibroid and laparoscopic to look for endo and adenomyosis. Hopefully, they will find out why I'm having pain.

I wish you the best of luck. Please let us know how you make out. We are here for you if you need us.

thanks

Thanks, everybody,
I'm better now that I've gotten through the procedure. And I just keep telling myself "it's benign," "it's benign" as I wait until the results are in.

with you the whole way

LaFlora,

As a veteran of the same issues, just remember, stressing yourself out only makes it worse.

I've got this down to a science no...mammogram scheduled, ultra-sound scheduled immediately after (just in case) and bring a running bra when I go for the biopsy. I have a family history of breast cancer and just go through it with "what's the worst that can happen - I have it, get it treated, and live to be old with the rest of my family."

Keep us updated, and remember, better safe, and sure, than letting it linger. Stay so busy you don't have time to dwell on the results, and drink some warm cocoa or milk to help you sleep through tonight.

s and prayers

Susan
