Toronto area - looking for endo doc

Hi, I'm asking my Canadian sisters if you know of a doctor in the greater Toronto area or surrounding areas that specializes in endo and has done many surgeries to remove endo. I'm in Barrie area and have a family doctor that won't prescribe BCP's and doesn't believe in hysterectomy for any reason......needless to say he's not been a great help but I know he'll give me a referal if I find a specialist. I have a gyno that will do the surgery but I'd like a 2nd opinion and someone more familiar with the surgery since I'm told I'll need a bowel resection and stents in my ureters to clean up the endo.

Although I live in the US now, I used to live in Barrie and have ovarian cysts and fibroids. I had both removed and am now having a TAH/BSO tomorrow. YIKES!!

The doctor I was referred to was Dr. Andy Browning in Barrie. He is head of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the RVH...at least he was when I was there. Anyway, I really thought he was fabulous and he is also well spoken of. Before you head to TO you might want to ask to see him. He might be very familiar with your type of problem. It's worth a shot. Or maybe ask your doctor if he thinks Dr. Browning is able to do this kind of work.
