a little concern, fresh blood

@ 8 weeks post op? I have not spotted since like 3 weeks post op, last night I was just sitting @ the computer, and felt like period cramps. I gave no thought to it because even at 8 weeks I still try to be very careful, and dont lift, pull, or even had relations yet. But when I went potty I had undies full of red fresh blood. Has this happened to anyone else this far in? I have not had a spot or anything since.

TIA
Katie

I didn't have it happen, but I think you should call and ask your dr about it. One explanation would be granulation breaking loose and causing the bleeding, but you would need to see your dr to find out for sure. Sometimes it doesn't show up until you're otherwise pretty much healed. Don't panic. Hopefully it's something simple and can be easily fixed. Let us know what you find out.

My dr told me that this could happen. I was concerned about continuous spotting for the first 1 1/2 weeks and they told me to not even be surprised if I got a surge of blood all at one time. He described it as something like a hematoma bursting......

That being said, if you're worried call your dr and if it starts up again like a period, definitely call your dr.

My Doctor didn't mention anything like this to me. The only thing he did say is that if I had any period like bleeding that was NOT normal and I should call him right away. I would call your Doctor and check. It is always best to be on the safe side and the others are right, it may be something really simple.

Thanks Ladies, I have not seen it since. If it happens again I will call my Dr.

What makes it worse is I am in the process of moving and already can't help lift anything, I do stand around and boss everyone though lmao.. I hate this 3-6 month thing grrrrrr. lol
