presacral neurectomy and laser uterine nerve ablation

I am going to have a presacral neurectomy and laser uteine nerve ablation procedure as well as laser osis of endo done soon and I was wondering about other's experiences with these procedures. I had a diagnostic lap last summer where the doctor only looked and did no work. Since the doctor will be doing more work this time I was wondering if the recovery time would be longer. How long was your surgery time?

Hi, slwolf8! I'm not sure exactly how long your procedures will take, since I did not have those done. The ablation usually doesn't take very long, but if you have lots of endo, it may take quite a while to laser it all. The neurectomy (cutting the presacral nerve) shouldn't take long, either. Your recovery time probably will be a little longer than your diagnostic lap, but you would have to ask your dr for his prediction! Hopefully someone who has had this done will be along to shed some more light on this. s and best wishes!

It really does vary...

I was off work four weeks with mine because it was EXTENSIVE lasering and you will be quite sore, depending on the amount removed. the Presacral neurectomy is no big deal recovery wise. The pain that was caused for me - was the fact that she spent six hours lasering off the endometriosis - so I literally had burns in my abdomen.

After four weeks, though...I had a good 3 years of relief!
