Lupron Depot and Bleeding

I can't figure out whether this message got out before or not, so I am writing another one. Sorry if this already was posted. I am new to all of this.

I got a 3 month Lupron Depot shot about a month ago. (for shrinking of the fibroids and to build up blood levels, which have been very low). The fibroids are definitely shrinking because I can actually feel that they are smaller. I started a period about ten days ago and it is lighter flow than usual, but it hasn't stopped yet. Has anyone else experienced this? SHould I be worried that it is lasting so long?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks ladies!
December.

Lupron Depot and Bleeding

I am experiencing exactly the same thing as you. I had the option of 1 three month shot, or three 1 month shots - to shrink fibroids and (hopefully) have less invasive surgery. I opted for the three shots. I had my first shot 9-8-04. The nurse told me that I might have spotting. Others (including the doctor) said I wouldn't have any more periods. I had my period on schedule, and since then I haven't stopped. It is not exactly bleeding - more like spotting.

Other than that, I have not had any side effects.

Lupron Depot and Bleeding

I had the Lupron shots also.........I bled the first month, on schedule, although not as heavy. No bleeding at all in the second month, and then spotted in the third month. My doc said may have bleeding the first month, but shouldn't have any after that. Needless to say, it didn't work for me, but it does work wonders for others. My pain never stopped, so it was onto the castle for me !!!! Good Luck, and never give up hope.

spot-bleeding

Do you think we should be worried about the blood that we're losing since we want to be building up hemoglobin? Have you talked with your doctor about it?

Thanks,
