Have to wait some more!
Hi all,
Just thought I would fill you all in. I went today for a TVUS because Dr. thought I had fibroids and wanted to check. I saw a differnt Dr. today. He was very pleasant and nice, but not much on the answering of questions. He told me he wanted me to come back in 10 days, which turns out to be 15 cause I couldn't get an appoint. sooner. All he said was that he didn't see any large masses. Not no masses, but large masses. So what am I to think this mass is supposed to be? To top it all off, I started my period again for the second time this month. I told them this before I went "embarassing!" They said it didn't matter, but they also didn't tell me that when he does a TVUS, he likes all of patients to take a fleet enema before coming in. I am thinking to myself, now is a fine time to tell me this! I already had two tampons in and was wearing a pad, and now I get to stick something up my behind as well! I was hurting so bad, all I could think of was how would he like something shoved
somewere!
So after complete humiliation and bleeding everywhere I am just more confused than ever and have even more questions than before. Not to mention the pain and having to wait!
I feel like today was complete waste of his time and my own.
Thanks ladies for letting me vent! I don't know what I would do without this website. I will contributing to it as soon as I possilby can. The laughs and cries I have shared with all my sisiters are priceless and I am so glad I found you all!

I certainly understand how you felt. I had the same thing about 6 years ago when I was begging for a hyst. They said at that time I "didn't have good enough reason." I'm bleeding here!!!!!! Had the US during my period. Yes, embarrassed. When the left me alone to get dressed I saw blood everywhere down the end of the table. I just got dressed and left and no one ever said anything. I did end up having D&C, hysteroscopy and two other things I can't remember and they sent me on my way. Six years later I'm bleeding down my legs and in pain and have another US. This time I said to myself, hey, it's their job and I can't see anything. Oh well. No, I didn't look back when I got dressed. But I finally got my hyst!!
Blessings,
TC

Hi Sherri ! I am so sorry for all they put you through ! As, I am sure you have read here, there is a condition called adenomyosis that causes heavy bleeding. It is hard to diagnosis this until a hysterectomy. Please search on it at this site to find out more. Although I had some large fibroids, I really think the majority of my heavy bleeding problems were caused by the adeno.
Until you get the issue resolved - try DEPEND's Overnight pants. I gave up tampons and pads for my first 3 period days when I found these. They really hold a lot, you don't have to change all the time, and virutally NO accidents! Using them was SO much easier ! I just kicked myself that I had never even thought about using them.
Good luck you. I am 6 weeks post and I feel SO much better. It took me a long time to get it but it has been one of the best things I ever did. I can't believe I put up with all that crap as long as I did..... Janie

Thanks for the support!
Thanks for all the support and thanks so much for the idea of the overnight pants. I will definately try them!
I am off to my heating pad for a bit. See if that helps some!

Waiting.........
I feel your pain, Sassy. I just got done having a hysteroscopy with D&C and endometrial ablation, the only reason being my insurance company refused to pay for a hyst even after 5 years of horrendous bleeding and pelvic pain. So now we play the waiting game for the next 3 months........will the bleeding come back? Will the pain go away? Who knows? But it looks like I may get my hyst in the end anyway, because my doc thinks I'll need it after all. In the meantime, my bleeding is now confined to one regular maxi-pad, and I feel better physically than I have for months (probably because I'm not anemic any more). And maybe I'm getting close to the end of all this anyway.......the fibroid I had has shrunk, and I'm definitely in perimenopause, so it could be a matter of a year or two before it's over with.
Hang in there, Sassy, and please let us know how it goes for you.
